Visit to the JSA Feb 2008. This was taken in the interior of one of the "negotiation buildings" built overlapping the border (I'm actually on the Northern side of the border taking the shot).
This guard is standing in front of the door to the North - preventing any of us from starting an international incident (and possibly dying in the process). The NK guards aren't allowed to enter while tourists from the South are inside and vice versa.
